Full Time
Major Duties:
(a)To provide support in one or more of the following areas:

(i)general administration and personnel;

(ii)student affairs and student admissions;

(iii)book-keeping, supplies and stores administration;

(iv)promotion & publicity and committee work; and

(v)secretarial and administrative support for senior level staff.
(b)To assist in providing secretarial support for meetings / boards of operational units;
(c)To draft simple correspondence;
(d)To handle enquiries and provide counter services;
(e)To assist in the supervision of junior / minor grade staff; and
(f)To assist in the stock-taking and maintenance of inventory record.

Requirements:
(a)(i)Level 2 or above in 5 subjects, including English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, or equivalent^; OR

(ii)Level 2 / Grade E or above in 5 subjects including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE); OR

(iii)Diploma of Applied Education + Maths Plus / Diploma Yi Jin + Mathematics / Project Yi Jin; OR

(iv)A recognised Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate / Diploma of Foundation Studies; OR

(v)A recognised Associate Degree / Higher Diploma or above.
*Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2 / Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.
^“Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in HKDSE Examination are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects.
(b)Proficiency in the use of computer software application, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese word processing and / or simple webpage design;
(c)Good command of Chinese and English, preferably with knowledge of Putonghua;
(d)Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;
(e)Ability to work independently and be a good team player; and
(f)Good work initiative and be customer-oriented.

Notes:
(1)Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(2)The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and / work on shift duty.
(3) In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees who will be posted to Shine Skills Centres will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
