Key Responsibilities: | |
The appointee will assist a team of professionals in supervising and managing the execution of minor capital works projects and day-to-day maintenance works. The appointee will be responsible for the following main duties: | |
1. | To assist in the preparation of documents related to planned and corrective maintenance work, and services provided by in house staff and external contractors on facilities enhancement. |
2. | To supervise maintenance, repair, alteration, addition and improvement works carried out by in house staff and external contractors. |
3. | To lead the technical and clerical staff of the hospital maintenance team on facilities management works which includes preventive maintenance inspection on both builder’s work and E&M installation. |
4. | To assist in the preparation of work requisitions, specifications of bulk contracts, monthly reports, cost estimation, cash flow projection and complaints handling. |
5. | To liaise with works agents, users and related parties for the expedient service provision. |
6. | To assist in the procurement of spare parts for the facilities maintenance, manage and maintain the level of stock and control storage quantity of dangerous goods. |
7. | To ensure good working conditions of hospital equipment and the compliance of relevant government statutory requirements |
8. | To assist in enhancing quality, safety and environmental performance on site. |
9. | To participate in the testing and commissioning of buildings and engineering facilities, plant and hospital equipment. |
10. | To supervise, coach and train junior / supporting staff. |
11. | To perform any other duties as required by supervisors. |
12. | Monitor the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). |
13. | Maybe required to perform shift duty and on duty during typhoon / black rainstorm and other emergencies. |
Entry Requirements: | |
1. | (a) A Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent; or |
(b) 5 years of relevant working experience as skilled worker in the field of Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; or | |
(c) Completed a recognized Technician Apprenticeship in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. | |
2. | At least 3 years’ site supervisory experience subsequent to fulfilling (1) above. |
3. | A knowledge of English and Chinese equivalent to Form 3 (before 2012) / Secondary 3 standard. |
4. | Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card). |
Preferable Attributes / Exposure: | |
Post A: Works Supervisor I (Facility Management) (Builder/Plumbing & Drainage) [Tung Wah Hospital] | |
1. | At least 5 years of relevant working experience in the field of consultancy / contracting / facilities management / day-to-day repair & maintenance, and with 3 years of which is at supervisory level. |
2. | Degree in Engineering / Facilities Management / Construction Management / Building Services Engineering / Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or other construction related disciplines. |
3. | Experience in health care projects and supervision of term maintenance contractors for minor works. |
4. | Possession of valid Plumber License (Grade I). |
5. | Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office including both Chinese and English word processing, Excel, PowerPoint etc. |
6. | Good report writing skills. |
7. | Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in both Chinese and English. |
8. | Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently. |
Post B: Works Supervisor I (Facility Management) (Air Conditioning) [Tung Wah Hospital] | |
1. | At least 5 years of relevant working experience in the field of consultancy / contracting / facilities management / day-to-day repair & maintenance of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) System and with 3 years of which is at supervisory level. |
2. | Degree in Engineering / Facilities Management / Building Services Engineering or other construction related disciplines. |
3. | Experience in health care projects and supervision of term maintenance contractors for minor works. |
4. | Possession of valid Register Electrical Worker (Class B or above). |
5. | Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office including both Chinese and English word processing, Excel, PowerPoint etc. |
6. | Good report writing skills. |
7. | Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in both Chinese and English. |
8. | Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently. |
9. | Has sound knowledge in Buildings Energy Efficiency Ordinance and Retro Commissioning for operating energy efficient HVAC plant is an advantage. |
