Major Duties: | ||
(a) | To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; | |
(b) | To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; | |
(c) | To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; | |
(d) | To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; | |
(e) | To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions; and | |
(f) | To attend meetings when necessary. | |
Requirements: | ||
(a) | A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; | |
(b) | At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience; | |
(c) | Good communication, teaching and presentation skills and a high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; | |
(d) | Preferably highlight the Putonghua proficiency in CV; | |
(e) | A good team player with a proactive attitude; | |
(f) | Preferably with knowledge and experience in curriculum and new module development; | |
(g) | Candidate(s) with good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies and/or good understanding of VPET education would be an advantage; | |
(h) | Preferable with academic leadership such as curriculum development, TLP writing; and | |
(i) | Specific Requirements: | |
(i) | Candidates from public transport (MTR or bus) preferable with professional qualification of CILTHK PQE transport stream; OR | |
(ii) | Candidates from transport / traffic consultant / urban planning / government preferable with professional qualification of CILTHK PQE transport stream; OR | |
(iii) | Candidates from airlines / airport / ramp services. | |
Notes: | ||
(1) | Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for the post of "Term Assistant Lecturer" at the rank of Teaching Associate. | |
(2) | Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. | |
(3) | The initial posting is in IVE (Tsing Yi). The appointee(s) may be posted to other work location(s) to suit the operational needs. | |
(4) | Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. | |
(5) | The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus. |
