Responsibilities:

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Lead implementation and continual improvement of site and project safety management systems in accordance with Hong Kong legislation and company standards.
                                      • Manage safety for civil engineering, reclamation and related works — conduct risk assessments, develop method statements, and review safe systems of work.
                                      • Perform regular site inspections, safety audits, toolbox talks and behavioural observations; ensure timely corrective actions and tracking.
                                      • Lead incident/accident investigations, root‑cause analysis and report preparation; manage statutory notifications where required.
                                      • Monitor safety KPIs, prepare management reports and present safety performance to senior management and clients.
                                      • Oversee contractor safety performance, pre‑qualification safety reviews and subcontractor onboarding.
                                      • Deliver and coordinate safety training, competency assessments and safety briefings for site teams and subcontractors.
                                      • Liaise with clients, consultants, regulators and third‑party auditors; represent the company at safety meetings and statutory inspections.
                                      • Foster a proactive safety culture and mentor junior safety personnel.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Minimum 15 years’ hands‑on construction safety experience; track record of managing safety on civil or reclamation projects strongly preferred.
                                    • Recognised safety qualifications where applicable (e.g., RSO/RSA) are a must.
                                    • Comprehensive knowledge of Hong Kong construction safety legislation, codes of practice and statutory procedures.
                                    • Proven experience in incident investigation, risk management and enforcement of safe work procedures.
                                    • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
                                    • Strong report writing and documentation skills; proficient with MS Office and safety management software.
                                    • Ability to work on multiple sites and handle operational pressures in a dynamic construction environment.
