Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Portfolio Management: Oversee daily operations of assigned projects, ensuring performance aligns with company policy and international safety/quality standards.

• Stakeholder Diplomacy: Act as the primary interface for CEDD, Highways Department (HyD), and MTR Corporation. Navigate the technical and regulatory complexities of MTR-interfaced works.

• Commercial & Contractual Governance: Review, advise, and resolve complex contractual and technical matters; provide expert commentary on major sub-contracts to mitigate risk.

• Operational Excellence: Establish and monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and environmental/safety plans. Chair internal project reviews to report performance to senior leadership.

• Innovation & Prevention: Identify potential construction hurdles early; instigate preventive measures and advocate for innovative techniques in selective construction processes.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in the Hong Kong construction field, with a significant track record in a Main Contractor environment.

• Proven Network: Deep, existing relationships within CEDD, HyD, and MTR are essential.

• Education & Chartership: Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction subject. MHKIE / ICE or equivalent professional membership is mandatory.

• Leadership: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage large, multi-disciplinary teams across various sites.

• Communication: Exceptional negotiation and communication skills in Chinese & English
