Background
We are partnering with a large, complex multinational organisation to appoint a senior finance leader to oversee group financial reporting, consolidation, and statutory compliance at a global level. This is a critical role within the group finance function, working closely with top finance leadership and playing a key role in strengthening governance, controls, and reporting standards across multiple jurisdictions.
The role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and responsibility for leading experienced finance teams within a shared services and regional reporting environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee group consolidation and statutory reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
* Review and deliver consolidated financial statements and external disclosures for senior management and stakeholders.
* Act as the primary liaison for external auditors and professional advisors, managing audit processes and addressing technical accounting and control matters.
* Partner closely with senior finance leadership and business heads to provide technical insight, clarity, and financial governance support.
* Provide leadership oversight to a regional finance / shared services function, ensuring service quality, consistency, and continuous process improvement.
* Drive enhancement of internal controls, reporting processes, and month‑end close efficiency within a complex, multi‑entity structure.
* Support broader finance transformation and governance initiatives as required.
Candidate Requirements
* Professionally qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting expertise.
* Proven track record in group reporting and consolidation within large, multinational and regulated environments.
* Deep familiarity with listed‑company reporting requirements and international accounting standards.
* Background in audit and technical accounting, ideally gained within a leading professional services firm, complemented by senior in‑house group finance experience.
* Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with C‑suite stakeholders, auditors, and regulators.
* Structured, detail‑oriented, and process‑driven, with the confidence to operate in complex and evolving organisations.
* Experienced people leader, capable of managing senior teams and driving change with autonomy.
* Extensive multinational experience, including significant time in senior or leadership finance roles.
* Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
* Prior experience managing China Finance operations is highly advantageous.
