Senior QA or QA - Investment Bank / Automation / 45k to 58k

I am currently helping our Client seeking a Senior QA / QA with Banking experience to join the team in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Execution

* Own the end-to-end test strategy, planning, and execution for post-trade settlement systems.
* Design, maintain, and execute high-quality test cases and artefacts to support BAU changes and strategic projects.
* Act as the senior QA/Test Lead within the Core Business IT testing scope.

Test Automation

* Design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks.
* Drive expansion of automation coverage across core settlement systems and interfaces.
* Ensure all automation solutions are scalable, reusable, and easy to maintain.

Functional & Business Engagement

* Collaborate closely with business users, operations teams, and IT stakeholders to fully understand end-to-end post-trade workflows.
* Translate complex functional requirements into effective and practical testing approaches.
* Actively participate in requirements walkthroughs, defect triage, and release coordination meetings.

BAU & Project Support

* Deliver structured testing support across both Business-As-Usual (BAU) and project workstreams.
* Effectively manage multiple testing deliverables in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
* Support integration testing across upstream and downstream systems.

Quality & Governance

* Ensure all testing activities comply with internal IT controls, SDLC standards, and regulatory audit requirements.
* Maintain comprehensive test documentation and evidence for audit and operational reviews.

Experience & Skills Required

* 5+ years of relevant QA experience in securities brokerage firms, investment banks, or other regulated financial institutions.
* Strong exposure to integrated post-trade system landscapes for Equities and Fixed Income.
* In-depth understanding of Equities post-trade operations, including:

* Trade booking and confirmation
* Settlement instruction processing
* SWIFT messaging (MT & MX / ISO 20022 - CBPR+) for payments, settlement, and statements
* Reconciliation processes

* Hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
* Practical BAU support or project implementation experience with trade settlement systems (e.g., Gloss, Syn~, Inferno, or similar).
* Hands-on experience in performance testing (latency, throughput, etc.).
* Familiarity with audit, regulatory, and control-driven environments.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

* JMeter

Programming & Scripting:

* Scripting
* SQL (Intermediate level)
