Responsibilities:
l Execute daily clearing, settlement, and related booking/fund processing, handle derivative events (contract maturity repayments, early termination mediation, corporate action adjustments), manage special clearing items (contract rollovers, substitutions, default resolutions)
l Conduct mark-to-market margin calls and collateral rebalancing management
l Perform end-of-day clearing for securities/funds arising from trades, facilitate settlement coordination between front office/product teams with exchanges/counterparties
l Verify daily clearing data for proprietary vs. market making positions, investigate and resolve discrepancies
l Develop and maintain back-office clearing procedures for securities lending & market making
l Responsible for placement and related reporting submission
l Drive process automation, functional enhancements, and system upgrades
l Assist in establishing robust clearing risk control frameworks
l Execute daily data collection, reporting, and discrepancy resolution
l Complete HKTR reporting
l Review and provide guidance/assistance to the team on different settlement tasks
Requirements:
l Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or related field
l 10+ years of experience in securities operations/clearing roles
l Thorough understanding of securities lending and market making regulations in Hong Kong, including market rules and compliance requirements
l Familiarity with regulatory reporting obligations
Technical Skills / Soft Skills Requirement 技术或软技能要求
l Sound knowledge in settlement processing and operation of clearing systems
l Proactive in taking responsibilities and be able to multi-task
l Fluency in Cantonese, English and Mandarin is an advantage
