Part Time Kwai Fong, Tin Shui Wai
Major Duties :
(a)To perform teaching duties, including supervision of students’ projects;
(b)To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
(c)To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
(d)To organise language enhancement activities; and
(e)To participate in projects and functions of the Language Centre.


Requirements :
(a)(i)A recognised degree in English Language / English Language and Literature / Language Studies (English) / Linguistics / Education (English) / English Communication / Translation (English); OR

(ii)A recognised degree in a non-relevant field; AND a relevant English teaching qualification, such as Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma in Education (major in English), Teaching English as a Second Language or Teaching English as a Foreign Language or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL and English-teaching certification recognised by TESL Canada) or English for Specific Purposes (ESP).  A transcript with course details including the number of hours of instruction and practicum should be provided for consideration;
(b)Good communication, presentation and digital skills; and
(c)A good team player, able to work on own initiative and willing to meet challenges.


Notes :
(1)The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”.
(2)Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(3)Preference will be given to candidates who have relevant teaching experience.
(4)Shortlisted applicants will be required to take a written assessment.
(5)The work location will be Kwai Fong or Tin Shui Wai.
(6)In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
