About the Role
The Assistant Human Resources Manager will operate in a dynamic, hybrid capacity, responsible for delivering seamless day-to-day HR operations for the Hong Kong office, while serving as a Business Partner and provide support to the Compensation & Benefits team and Senior HR professionals. This role successfully balances localized, hands-on employee lifecycle management with high-level budget administration and regional corporate project execution.
Key Responsibilities
1.Hong Kong HR Operations Management
Supervise the end-to-end employee lifecycle for Hong Kong office personnel, overseeing recruitment processing, comprehensive onboarding, performance appraisal execution, and structural ooarding workflows.
Oversee regular local HR operations, maintaining accurate digital personnel database records and comprehensive leave tracking.
Ensure local compliance with the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance, managing MPF schemes, mandatory labour insurance cycles, and annual Inland Revenue tax filings (e.g., IR56 forms).
Serve as an accessible, professional point of contact for employee relations, grievance counseling, and local workplace policy interpretation.
2. Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Budget Administration
Partner with the C&B team to execute rigorous administration, tracking, and management of corporate staff cost budgets and forecasts.
Formulate and update headcount reports, personnel cost analytics, and variance reporting to identify budget discrepancies.
Support the C&B team during annual salary reviews, merit increments, and bonus allocation cycles by consolidating regional metrics and managing data integrity.
3. Strategic Regional Project Execution
Collaborate closely with Senior HR Professionals and Regional Leadership to execute, localize, and monitor global and regional HR initiatives.
Act as a key project coordinator for regional organizational rollouts, tracking milestones, managing project timelines, and organizing cross-border communications.
Drive data migration, system upgrades, and localized deployment of centralized HR Information Systems (HRIS).
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree or professional HR certification (e.g., HKIHRM) is highly advantageous.
Experience: Minimum of 5–6 years of progressive, well-rounded HR experience, with clear exposure to regional or multi-national corporation frameworks. Senior HR Officers showing high capability and strong numerical acumen are highly encouraged to apply.
Analytical Skillset: Exceptional numerical proficiency with demonstrated experience handling budget forecasting, financial tracking spreadsheet matrixes, and advanced analytical modeling.
Language Proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken English, as well as Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), to liaise effectively with cross-border stakeholders.
Technical Systems: High fluency in advanced Microsoft Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot
Tables, complex formulas) and experience navigating corporate HR platforms (e.g., PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors, Workday).
