The Information Technology Services Centre (ITSC) is seeking suitable candidates to join the Education Technology Team to support digital learning and technology-enhanced services across the University. 
 
Candidates should indicate their relevant experience and preferred areas of responsibility in their application. Depending on the expertise and interests, the appointee(s) may be assigned to one or more of the following areas:
(1) front-end development (e.g. user interface development, UI/UX implementation, and web or mobile interfaces);
(2) full-stack development (e.g. application development, API integration, system design, and backend services);
(3) AI and digital innovation (e.g. AI-enabled applications, data-driven solutions, and automation tools); and
(4) education technology support and project implementation (e.g. eLearning platforms, user support, training, service delivery, and service promotion).The appointee(s) will be responsible for supporting and developing education technologies and digital services for teaching and learning.
 
Duties include
(a) developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications and platforms;
(b) supporting eLearning systems and AI‑enabled tools;
(c) providing user support, consultation and training to faculties, staff and students;
(d) preparing training materials, documentation and proposals for digital learning initiatives;
(e) evaluating and adopting emerging technologies to improve teaching and learning effectiveness;
(f) supporting project implementation and co-ordination;
(g) troubleshooting system and user issues; and
(h) performing other duties as assigned. 
 
Applicants should have
(i) a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline;
(ii) relevant work experience in application development, system integration, or the support and development of educational technologies;
(iii) strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills;
(iv) the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment; and
(v) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Familiarity with cloud services and AI technologies, and having the ability to demonstrate relevant skills or project experience, will be an added advantage. Having knowledge of modern development technologies, programming, and APIs is preferred. Provision of links to code repositories (e.g. GitHub) or similar work samples demonstrating relevant experience will be advantageous.
 
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
