Responsibilities
Overseeing import and export functions of the Company including but not limited to –
Assisting to liaise with US Office & International customers to update their logistic requirements & disseminating to Senior Management, factories, merchandising and accounting teams, etc.
Sourcing and managing courier service providers and freight forwarders to ensure competitive rates and reliable service
Working with US team, planning and liaising with freight forwarders for shipment schedules and arrangement
Assuring that sample or bulk shipments are shipped to customers, US and Italy offices at agreed shipment schedules by co-ordinating closely with factories, PD and merchandising teams, and QC team
Monitoring & assuring timely submission of shipping documents to freight forwarders, US Office and International customers
Assuring that factories submit accurate export and/or customs related documents to US customer service team and accounting team
Resolving problems relating to shipping related issues with US Office, International customers, factories & freight forwarders
Working with US team for factory CTPAT compliance
Supervising and assuring timely application and submission of transaction certificates to the end customers for ECO shipments, including overseeing supplier submission of accurate transaction certificates
Advising the Senior Management of updated global trends of logistic management or shipping practices on timely basis
Preparing analysis report or any other reports as required by Senior Management or US team
Providing recommendations on continuous improvement of shipping cost effectiveness & control, and customer satisfaction level
Monitoring day-to-day operation of the department, work performance and training of subordinates
Performing any other duties or ad-hoc projects as assigned by Managing Director or as required by US operation and customer service teams
Requirements
DSE / Form 5 or above
No less than 15 years’ experience preferably in handbag or fashion industry, with no less than 8 years’ managerial experience
Prior experience working in buying or sourcing office a PREFERENCE
Previous exposure with global shipments a MUST, with hands-on knowledge of international shipping, import/export and customs regulations
Prior exposure to CTPAT compliance, ECO standards/TC applications an ADVANTAGE
Excellent organizational, leadership and problem solving skills
Proactive & team player
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese, and good spoken Putonghua
