Responsibilities
Report directly to the Senior Management and the Directors
Communicate with the consignee for the shipment assignment
Handle full sets of import/export shipping documents independently, including checking invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading (BL), air waybills, and Certificates of Origin, ISF/GCC uploading, and shipping instructions to ensure compliance with LC/bank requirements
Coordinate with the US buyers, vendors, factories (e.g., in China, Vietnam, Bangladesh), freight forwarders, and courier services to arrange timely shipment schedules and booking releases
Ensure compliance with all relevant import/export regulations, including declarations, and manage customs clearance, particularly for LDP (Landed Duty Paid) or DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipments
Monitor production/shipment status to ensure timely shipment bookings and follow up on any discrepancies or delays
Coordinate daily sample dispatches
Prepare regular shipping reports, and maintain accurate data entry in internal ERP systems
Check freight quotations and assist in cost analysis
Support ad hoc projects as necessary
Requirements
DSE / Form 5 or above
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant shipping experience in the garment industry for the US market
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel, including Pivot Tables) and Chinese word processing
Solid understanding of L/C documentation, full set of import/export procedures, and garment manufacturing
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, with Mandarin an advantage
Detail-oriented and able to work independently with good interpersonal skills
